Style With Substance launch video by me

Posted by Adrian Cline-Bailey

Hey people, how you doing there. I have been oh so fortunate with my video making and editing this month. Through the lovely and amazing Yonsin at Quitenenssentially events we got to produce a video of the event at Soho House.

Myself and my partner in video James, went down to Soho House and filmed a really quality event. We certainly hope the stylists Corinne McCann and Katy Mccan get to be as successful as I think they'll be. They were LOVELY to work with and brilliant hosts.

Hope you enjoy the event, check out my video here. The majority of the shots were done by James, NICE ONE JAMES, u r a sick camera man. Interviews were done by me and some camera work and editing done by me. TEAM WORK. ; )

They didn't supply a directional mic in the camera kit we hired so interviews are sounding low, trust me, well aware of it.

London Fashion Week Video

Posted by Adrian Cline-Bailey

28 days later!! Damn i've been slow on my bloggin this past month, since my last podcast, which i loved, i went to work straight on my next one. It was sounding sick, damn fine tunage and then, the programme got removed, and then got snowed under to do another one, I am ashamed of myself, i had tuuuunes!!

But still, never one to sit down and not be counted, I stepped my game up and whilst i've been quite on here. I ended up producing/creating a video for a menswear designer for London Fashion Week. Huge props to the choreographer, she worked very hard, and created a great dance piece! And team of dancers, really and truly they were incredible!! They had stamina, cause we had to do so many different shots, of the same things. And Georgy as well, I heard it went down well at Somerset House, and drew a crowd to his exhibition. And thank you to the two stylists who were on board, I will come back with names, but I just want to get something up here now, i'm impatient like that, hehe.

Belows the video, do check it out, it was directed by my bestest buddy James Ward! A real talent, and produced, (we shared the camera work on the day) and edited by moi.

http://www.georgybaratashvili.com/: PS do check Georgys link out, he works damn hard, and hope he comes through in the future, he's done work for Puma and the bags went into the shops, you know!! hehe. ; )

Basement Jaxx aka adrian likes Raindrops.

Posted by Adrian Cline-Bailey

You know what, i've just got to say, i know i'm like 472,294 views behind the whole internet, but just how great and catchy is Basement Jaxx's Raindrops. I think i've listened to it about 20 times now, and counting, since this morning (13th of July).

They really had the festival performance in mind when they made this track you can tell. And also, gotta shout out, and the Chelly tune, thats got about 185, 808 (808, hmmm, nice one, the 808 drums) Thats a really good track, but not posting it here cause the video's shitty, so i think i'll do a picture montage with the track, watch this space homie's...

So last week (July 10th) i was really fortunate to get to hang out on the Friday night Hip Hop show with DJ279. What i've got for you below is Kyza Seyso who came through on 279's show. He was really cool, very humble and an alright geeza all around!! ; ) His new album is gonna be sick, its out on Dented Records on the 20th of July. Definitely one to watch...and BUY. Buy people buy it. Don't download it. Its called 'Shots of Smirnoff' and he said in the show he called it that cause the album should be the life of the party. Like drinking socially (and responsibly, haha, sometimes) it adds to the atmosphere of any party.

I really like the name, i think its ambigous enough to draw you in to hear what the songs have to offer. And i am telling you, Kyza is coming strong in this album. VERY!!

The show was great and the freestyles from Kyza's partner...booooy!! Where can i start. He was sick! Seriously, i liked it. Obviously there's some purists out there, and its not 'Left' you know, like Tribe Called Quest lyric's, (generalising here, i can't think of anyone else) but really, flow wise and for me, lyrically, he had punch lines and hit lines all over the place. It was like body blows sentence after sentence.

Well, below's a few of the video's, sorry for the distortion in the video's. My LG mobile's ANNOYING, you can't lower the volume going in, gotta lower it on your head phones.

And also, i should be getting the recording of the show so you can really get a feel for when they were flowing on the show, cause obviously they got their headphones in.

DJ 279 Choice FM-Ya heard!! ; ) Kayza Sayso comes through. from Adrian Cline-Bailey on Vimeo.

My Podcast up on WyldPytch.com

Posted by Adrian Cline-Bailey

As i write this i'm watching Sexy Beast, which is the SICKEST film ever (sick meaning good-LDN slang) anyway, the legend that is Ray Winstone has got the tan of all tans, and he's icing his bollocks. And now Ben Kinglsy is absolutely smashing the acting of off everyone! He is so flipping crazy in this (flipping-i don't even ever use that word, the film is influencing me already) Well, anyway, this post is supposed to be about the Barbershop Podcast up on www.wyldpytch.co.uk

There one of the few indiependent record stores still going in Soho and I've been doing some freelance work for them. They've just relaunched there website and i think it looks really good, not saying that just cause i do work for them, but honest, clickity click on the link and check it out, and subsribe to the podcast. Its called the Barbershop, definitely a good listen.

My mate's very, very, VERY good music video

Posted by Adrian Cline-Bailey

I just had to put this on here as soon as i saw it today on my facebook. My friend Unique Beats (from South London) as he likes to be known is crazy about music and constantly makes his own music and video's to go along with what he's done. This video below, i guess has been inspired by the passing of MJ, and its remembers all the credible musicians that died from the past. BIG L, BIGGIE, ALIYAH, 2 PAC and loads more. I think its a strong video, he says it took him three days and sleepless nights of constant editing issue's-Unique, it was worth it, well done mate!!
